The lucid writing is gripping and revealing, offering a veritable cornucopia of jewels, gems, and unparalleled insight into the roots of breakdancing, graffiti, rapping, and DJing (the four elements - although they are not enumerated as such in the text)...
In other words, if you get a chance, peep it... On the real, kid, even though it's crazy rare, it's a piece of your culture -- OUR culture... If you EVER see it, pick it up... It's incredibly rare and hard to find!

This book is one of the best books written about hip hop in general. Steven Hager really did his homework on this one. this book has it all, plenty of pictures, interviews and knowledge.

Absolutely wonderful read. This filled in a lot of gaps for me on Hip Hop's origins. I thought the sections on Rap and Graff were particularly interesting. We run a non-profit out of Utah that focuses on Hip Hop arts and this article has been a great resource, both to the staff and to the community. Hoping to get my hands on a printed copy some day!
